Milanote - major project

Image
I created a Milanote board to explain my major interior design project idea. The research helped me avoid mistakes and choose the correct palette colours to make my interior look good. Also, the research realised me how important is well-located decorations to keep the interior visually clean. The link to my Milanote board is here.

SMART Objective: Warehouse Conversion

Image
My idea for a major project is to create an interior for a small living area designed for a millennial couple. The interior will be fully functional, simultaneously avoiding electronics such as computers and smart kitchens. The design will be a nice-looking, traditional non-electronic living area built with brick walls and a concert floor. However, the flat will be visually cosy with massive windows to make rooms brighter. The design consists of the living room with an inbuilt kitchen and a bedroom on the storey with a view of the living room. Loft Design, Brick walls Loft Design, Concrete floor The project includes a 2D sketch and 3D model to better visualise the idea. To create the interior will be used Adobe Dimension and Illustrator.  Example of an Interior created in Adobe Dimension.

Ideas Generation for Major Project

Image
My concept for a major project is to make a design of a small flat based on a warehouse look. I will make the property fully functional by saving as much space as possible on a small area. The design will include brick walls and a concert floor. However, the flat will be visually cosy with massive windows to make rooms bright. The design consists of the living room with an inbuilt kitchen and a bedroom on the storey with a view of the living room. To design the interior, I will make a sketch and create a 3D model to better visualise the idea. The model will be created in Adobe Dimension. NajÅ‚adniejszy LOFT w Polsce. Niesamowita metamorfoza ruiny - PomysÅ‚ na Dom #11 I was inspired by Pomysl na dom. It's a polish youtube channel that shows innovative interior designs, such as a loft. Unfortunately, the video has subtitles unavailable. Although I think it's a well-made interior and it's worth taking a look at.                     ...

Creation an Advert: Ideas Generation

In the 21st Century, talking about the male victims of sexual abuse is treated as a taboo. However, every year it's getting better, and the victims can get help thanks to the company such as survivors UK that offers emotional support for the victims. Also, campaigns are created to inform the community about the existing problem, although I couldn't find a campaign created earlier than 2012, which is "Real men get raped." Real men get raped by survivorsuk Next campaing that is quite interesting is No More Excuses: The Male Survivors made in 2016. it informs about survivors of childhood sexual abuse.   No More Excuses: The Male Survivors References https://www.adsoftheworld.com/campaigns/real-men-get-raped https://www.joyfulheartfoundation.org/programs/education/no-more/psa-campaign/no-more-excuses-male-survivors-series

Sequencial images - inspiration

Image
The inspiration gave me sequential photos 16 chairs created by Philippe Soussan. Based on the concept of making the sequence by using just one thing, I tried to do the same and record the changes on the wire.  16 Chairs,  Philippe Soussan Philippe Soussan is a Postwar and Contemporary artist who was born in 1961. The maker's first piece to be offered at auction was "Sans titre" at Pierre Berge and Associates Paris in 2018.  References: https://diagst.com/post/618037948682813440/philippe-soussan-16-chaises-2010 https://www.mutualart.com/Artist/Philippe-Soussan/546589FA0C88E855/Biography

Sequential Images - Creating process

Image
At the beginning of creating sequential images, I decided to make a sequence based on holding a piece of wood slowly changing into a woman's shape. Unfortunately, I changed my mind over the days because the whole process would take too much time.  The wrong type of wood for caving and the deadline made me change my mind and the conception of the sequential images.  Finally, I stayed with the concept of recording the creation process, but I used wire instead as a material, and the idea of carving the woman's shape changed.

Sequencial images - final work

Image
To complete the final piece of sequential images, I used the wire character I made for 2D 3D Media and recorded the creation process. I think the photos I took performed well as sequential images; although I couldn't record the whole process as I wished, the sequence kept the main idea as planned, but the technology issues enabled me to take photos correctly. The main idea of the sequential images is how the wire becomes a "human figure" from the twisted stuck of wires.

Final Advert: Design Process

Image
To create the advert, I decided to use adobe illustrator and photoshop. I think illustration is much better for preparing the element, such as the figure I used in a final product. Then I imported the materials into photoshop as it was required to finish it on photoshop or pixlr. In the beginning, I cut off the figure for the picture using Adobe Illustrator and exported it to Adobe Photoshop. Secondly, I changed the background to black and the filter to make the figure darker and colourless. As the last step, I have written the text giving simple information about the existing problem. I have tried to avoid writing too many details and focus on the general idea of the campaign.

Final Advert

Image
The final advert is done.  The advert informs the community about the problem treated as a taboo among the people. I decided to use the logo of the existing company Survuvirs UK which offers support for boys, men and non-binary people. They give emotional support through the justice system, support for friends and families of survivors, and training for professionals and organisations.

Hey, I'm Micheal, the student at DMU International College. I'm interested in surrealistic artworks like RH or the one below. I'm a huge fan of Beksinski's art, and I love painting, but the blog will be about something slightly different... As you don't know, the blog will be about interiors and will show you the progress I will go through during the academic year. Hopefully, you will like my designs, sketches, and artworks from the others that inspired me. Enjoy the blog, and I hope you will stay here for a long!
