This post is a continuation of creating my website. In this post, I will focus on a page About me.

Firstly, I have written an introduction for viewers and chose the photo.


''I'm Micheal, an independent interior designer specialising in creating old-fashioned interiors and mixing styles, such as loft and deco 80s.

If I'm not in front of my laptop, I focus on creating art constructions and paintings. I'm the biggest criticiser of my work, which causes me to improve my skills and make every following work even better. 

I am available to work worldwide. Currently, I live in Leicester, where I study Interior Design at De Montfort University. Feel free to contact me if you are looking for a professional interior designer.''


As the next step, I exported these elements and started editing the website.


I have changed the font colour and added an element to make it nice-looking.


As the last step, I opened a mobile phone view and changed the location of several elements.


The next post about creating my website will focus on the contact page.

This post presents my first ideas about the new project for art portfolio 2. The sketches might be used while painting and sculpting the works for this project. Also, I have done calligraphy specific to the Renaissance as this theme seems the most attractive to me among the others.    At this moment, I am considering recreating some of the paintings in expressionism using the tones, colours and fonts characteristic of this era.

Reflection

This post presents my reflection on the second term for art portfolio: During the major project for Art portfolio, I struggled with many aspects of the process, and I can't say I'm fully satisfied with the final outcome as it still might be improved. However, I did my best during these few weeks. I searched the information about the artists, colours and sleep paralysis to present the topic correctly. I have created many side paintings and sketches that I'm satisfied more or less, but it helped me to improve my painting skill and general knowledge about creating. I searched for many helpful materials and used inconvenient tools to get closer to reaching the goal, which was created my best painting until now.  This subject was the most influential for me among the others. Artist Research - Harry Simmonds

 Planning my project, I have been looking for artists who specialised in Ink drawings, and the one that kept my eye was Harry Simmonds. He is a British artist born in 1978 in Bristol. Most of his works present human bodies or portraits created in a very specific style. Simmonds created his own style of drawing by using ink and white acrylic paints on separate sheets. The techniques used in the drawings give a dynamic in its unusual form. 'Head of Mike 2'  89.5 x 70 cm approx. Ink and Acrylic on Paper. 'Head of George 1'  99.4 x 70 cm. Ink and Acrylic on Paper. During the research for my ink drawing, I decided to create my piece on separate A4 watercolour sheets like Harry Simmonds. Another interesting aspect of his works is the presented facial expressions. As my drawings will include many faces, I think Simmonds's works might be a great reference in finalising my piece.
