Major Project Plan

 My final project will present sleep paralysis in expression. The main concept of my work is to present the dark characters around the sleeping person doing different activities based on people's relations that have already experienced it. Besides the artists operating the techniques and styles that might fit my works, I will also do the research about sleep paralysis to present my work to the main idea. 

After consulting and compromising the project with my tutor, we figured out that the good idea is to paint 3 paintings with ink and the other 3 with acrylic paints. I will use a large amount of A4 watercolour sheets to create the ink drawings and place them randomly on the floor. When I finish the drawing, I will separate them into 3 pieces. As it may consume a lot of time, I can focus on the main elements of my work, such as bodies or facial expressions. To save time for paintings. Although the paintings will be done on A2 canvases with acrylic paints. As I need to improve my painting skills, I will spend most of my time on this project. I'm planning to include in my work as many details as possible.

The groups of ink drawings and paintings will be related to each other, making my works more impressive on a large scale. However, the constructions of each painting and drawing will be able to present separately as every painting will present the important element of the entire construction and even separated, it will present well. 

Planning the work, I figured out that the best way to finish the project on time is well-organised, so I decided to work on the paintings in the studio. However, the ink drawings will be created in my place to save time on taking out the sheets, cleaning out the floor and consuming the studio space from the other students and minimise the risk of damaging my work.     

One of the main reasons of deciding to create this kind of work is to develop and improve myself in a style and techniques that can help me to influence a viewer by creating disturbing or sometimes creepy artwork.

    As an outline of your project this is okay, but a separate post with your SMART objective (the second one was more concise than this) is necessary. Also, before you jump to making your final outcomes, there is a lot to be done in terms of research and development, so be aware of that. This blog will need research posts - this is important as research will help to build up your visual language and make your outcomes much better.

The story of my project will present the maximization of emotional expressions and feelings shown in the original pieces. The main idea of this project will be a recreation of the paintings from the Renaissance painted by Polish artists such as Jan Matejko and Lukasz Porebski. At this moment, I'm considering creating portraits of the people presented in their most famous paintings. The concept of this work is focusing on their facial expressions creating busy and messy backgrounds.

This post presents my reflection on the second term for art portfolio: During the major project for Art portfolio, I struggled with many aspects of the process, and I can't say I'm fully satisfied with the final outcome as it still might be improved. However, I did my best during these few weeks. I searched the information about the artists, colours and sleep paralysis to present the topic correctly. I have created many side paintings and sketches that I'm satisfied more or less, but it helped me to improve my painting skill and general knowledge about creating. I searched for many helpful materials and used inconvenient tools to get closer to reaching the goal, which was created my best painting until now.  This subject was the most influential for me among the others.
