Art Portfolio Two - Welcome Message

Welcome to Art Portfolio Two. This term, I want to improve my writing and time management skills. As the previous mark for this subject could have been more satisfying, I want to improve my work by carefully describing the process of creating my project and research. The same importance will be exploring new techniques in styles that might be useful as a painter in the future.

As we will create 3D sculptures this term, I would like to improve my work with clay and implement more unusual techniques and materials to this project. Also, this term's important aspect is to show the skills I have learnt through the previous terms.

During the holiday, I worked on my painting skills by exploring and testing new techniques and styles of painting a couple of pieces.

    Really like the work you have posted - post some work by an artist that links to this - I see some Jean Dubuffet in this work, I think we talked about his paintings last term, briefly.

    As you probably saw in my comments, your outcomes were very good quality and you presented them well on your website. This aspect of your project worked really well. As in your Life Drawing module, not doing the support work or looking at the marking criteria to see how you can improve your mark are some of the elements that let down your mark overall. I think you made a lot of progress last term, but your support work does need attention. This will be the same at Undergraduate. A good project is one that has a solid foundation and if you can show every step of your journey and thought process in your blog, your mark will improve immeasurably.

Tell me a story

The story of my project will present the maximization of emotional expressions and feelings shown in the original pieces. The main idea of this project will be a recreation of the paintings from the Renaissance painted by Polish artists such as Jan Matejko and Lukasz Porebski. At this moment, I'm considering creating portraits of the people presented in their most famous paintings. The concept of this work is focusing on their facial expressions creating busy and messy backgrounds.

This post presents my reflection on the second term for art portfolio: During the major project for Art portfolio, I struggled with many aspects of the process, and I can't say I'm fully satisfied with the final outcome as it still might be improved. However, I did my best during these few weeks. I searched the information about the artists, colours and sleep paralysis to present the topic correctly. I have created many side paintings and sketches that I'm satisfied more or less, but it helped me to improve my painting skill and general knowledge about creating. I searched for many helpful materials and used inconvenient tools to get closer to reaching the goal, which was created my best painting until now.  This subject was the most influential for me among the others.
