Preparing wooden panels

Consulting the project with my tutor, we decided to paint 2D outcomes on wooden panels that I could make in the workshop, saving time and money rather than buying it online.  After receiving the materials, the workshop tutor explained to me how to make them and the rest of the work I could make on my own. Firstly, I clamped the wooden planks in a vice and glued them together. Then I placed the surface and kept the weights on the top to ensure it won't come out. I kept them on for about half an hour and repeated the process 3 times more. I took the wooden panels for my painting to the studio to cover them with gesso and sand it. Listening to the advice, I bought the wet and dry sandpaper and sanded it several times when gesso dried and repeated the process 5 times.

SMART Objective: Warehouse Conversion

My idea for a major project is to create an interior for a small living area designed for a millennial couple. The interior will be fully functional, simultaneously avoiding electronics such as computers and smart kitchens. The design will be a nice-looking, traditional non-electronic living area built with brick walls and a concert floor. However, the flat will be visually cosy with massive windows to make rooms brighter. The design consists of the living room with an inbuilt kitchen and a bedroom on the storey with a view of the living room. Loft Design, Brick walls Loft Design, Concrete floor The project includes a 2D sketch and 3D model to better visualise the idea. To create the interior will be used Adobe Dimension and Illustrator.  Example of an Interior created in Adobe Dimension.

Creating my major project, I decided to make a second piece using ink. During my progress, I didn't struggle with the process during the first steps. However, finalising this work troubled me a lot. At the beginning, I planned to create a piece placed on watercolour sheets, but I didn't consider how I would present it and I must place it on another surface. In this case I decided to take an MDF from the workshop and glue the watercolour sheets. I have tried every possible way, but I came off from the MDF. To stick watercolour sheets, I used many types of glue, such as tape and spray.  In creating this project, I used inconvenient tools, such as perfume bottles and acrylic sprays, while I worked on this project at home. Finalising the project I used sepia pastels to make my work more interesting, dynamic and chaotic, as it seemed dull in monochrome.  In this step of the progress I tested how would work perfume bottle with ink. Unexpectedly, the pump got broken and I had to orde...
