Progress of 3D outcome 2

Creating this sculpture, I listened to my tutor's advice and learnt from the previous sculpture's mistakes, which cracked to place the second sculpture on the torso of the manikin.

Firstly, I placed the food foil to cover the manikin to keep it clean after my work.

Then, I used the wire waste from the previous project as a head and covered it with aluminium foil.

When the base had been prepared, I placed thick layers of clay one after another to avoid the previous sculpture's mistake as in the previous one, it cracked mostly on the thin layers of clay around the base, such as the shoulders or neck.

I finished placing the clay. I started creating facial features based on the sketches. Creating an unregular head shape was easier as it was placed on the base and slightly turned to the left side.

As a next step, I smoothed the sculpture and sculpted the eye sockets and added some wrinkles.

Unfortunately, the sculpture seemed more friendly than I thought it would be, so I decided to change the concept a little and add more details suggesting the face of this character's mouth is covered/stuck by a skin layer (quite similar to the first part of Matrix or Two-face in the Batman).

When I finished creating the face of this character, I started creating the texture the same as in the previous sculpture using a wire brush.

Trying to avoid cracks and with the advice of my tutor, I removed the sculpture for the manikin's torso and dried it slowly, spraying the sculpture twice a day. Unfortunately some of them showed up, but much less than in the previous one

As the last step, I painted all black using metallic paint twice.

Creating this sculpture, I struggled with the quality of the clay the most. I didn't find it complicated to create all of my sculptures, although the quality of the clay limited my work as I felt its a time rush to avoid the cracks.
