Progress of 3D outcome 1

As first, while creating this project, I made a base using a bunch of wires and aluminium foil. The used wires were of different thicknesses and lengths. The main element of this construction was a thick wire twisted several times and used as a neck and base by entangling the wire around the wire neck and making the construction more stable. At the end of creating construction, I taped the aluminium foil in case it came off the base.

When the base was ready, I could start placing the clay on the base.

During this process, the head was too heavy to keep it straight. It fell down, so I have been forced to make a thicker neck and placed more clay on the back of my sculpture as a pillar.

When the entire base was covered, I could start including more details in my work, such as chest muscles, collarbones and face.

When all of the details had been done, I started creating the texture of my sculpture by using some tools. I took a "wire texture brush" and brushed it around the sculpture to create some gaps.
It had been created on the entire sculpture, I had to spray the clay bust and slightly fill the gaps with the remaining clay that came off during the process, creating the linear wrinkles around the sculpture.

When I had done the process, I left it to dry.

Unfortunately, when the sculpture dried, a lot of cracks started coming out of it, and I was forced to change the ideas for the sculpture and cover it several times by using other layers of clay. Also, the neck cracked in very unfortunate places and moved backwards, so I supported it with tape and filled the gaps with a large amount of clay and waited until it got dried. For the smaller cracks, I used clay glue, by it didn't work at all, so I must have used more clay. The struggle with this sculpture delayed my progress on the other outcomes as I tried to save this sculpture.

In the end, I decided to cover it once more with clay and paint it until it was wet, as filling all of these cracks might be a waste of time.
