First thoughts

This post presents my first ideas about the new project for art portfolio 2. The sketches might be used while painting and sculpting the works for this project. Also, I have done calligraphy specific to the Renaissance as this theme seems the most attractive to me among the others.  At this moment, I am considering recreating some of the paintings in expressionism using the tones, colours and fonts characteristic of this era.

    Good first post, although would like a little more detail in terms of what you are doing with these drawings and how you think you might adapt this style to the Renaissance works you are thinking of recreating (?). Important to follow this up with how this might develop visually - a second and third round of drawings that show us how you are thinking.

This post presents my reflection on the second term for art portfolio: During the major project for Art portfolio, I struggled with many aspects of the process, and I can't say I'm fully satisfied with the final outcome as it still might be improved. However, I did my best during these few weeks. I searched the information about the artists, colours and sleep paralysis to present the topic correctly. Acrylic painting - progress of creating

In creating this piece, I change the idea a couple of times. Finally, It stopped on improvisation that will present sleep paralysis in expressionism based on Basquiat's style and techniques. The first idea of this project was to present sleep paralysis in 3 stages that will be represented by each canvas. Starting from the first canvas is supposed to represent the energy that ran out during the day. The middle canvas represents tiredness, which causes falling asleep. In my work, I have tried to present the journey through the entire day ending up sleeping. During that, we may get sleep paralysis, which is represented by the 3rd canvas showing creatures in different shapes and colours as it might be seen differently by everyone. The colours of my work represent a daytime that changes into red tones representing “hell” by going down.
