 The entire project gave me an opportunity to improve my painting skills and taught me about the importance of researching, referencing and self-improvement during the process of creating all of my current artworks. Creating the outcomes, I noticed a large improvement which forced me to go back to the previous works and improve them with the new techniques or precision of painting. Having more time to finalise the project, I would make it more detailed. However, this project showed me the directions I should improve my painting skills and style. I found the style I truly like and come easily to get more ideas and create more pieces similar to the ones from this project. I'm satisfied with the final outcome for paintings, the same as sculptures, although I focused mainly on painting, so research for sculptures could have been better. vermillion Vermillion is a collection of paintings and sculptures inspired by a variety of famous Renaissance artworks. It explores deep and intense emotions such as sadness, fear, and  despair.  Looking at this work, it needs some improvement as 'the final outcome' looked boring and way worse than the others.  Firstly, I changed his face as it looked very flat, and we couldn't see any expression or facial details. However, I repeated the process one more inspiring by Francis Bacon. Initially, I wanted to change my face, but during the process, I also started changing clothes.  Unfortunately, I messed up at the beginning by mixing the wrong colours. Also, I have used too dark tones, and I must have repainted.  Based on some of Beksinski's paintings, I decided to improve my work by adding the weak, disproportionally long arms of this character.  As a next step, I changed the colour of the background to darker than the face of this character to create the focal point on the face of this character. Finalising the 2D outcomes, I realised that some of the paintings could be improved, so I decided to add more details and change them a little. Starting from "The Bizzare" with the tutor, we decided to add a bit more details on his clothes, so i sketched them using charcoal.   During the process, I realised it might be good-looking if I used more bright colours and added more purple to this work as it was highly inspired by 'Screaming Pope', which the clothes colour has been changed completely from red to purple, so I mixed them both.  The same problem I have gotten with this work presenting three standing people. I have made it highly expressionistic, although compared to the others, it seemed worst.  Creating this piece, I decided to add much more vertical lines creating blurred characters and their clothes.  Creating this sculpture, I listened to my tutor's advice and learnt from the previous sculpture's mistakes, which cracked to place the second sculpture on the torso of the manikin.  Firstly, I placed the food foil to cover the manikin to keep it clean after my work.  Then, I used the wire waste from the previous project as a head and covered it with aluminium foil. When the base had been prepared, I placed thick layers of clay one after another to avoid the previous sculpture's mistake as in the previous one, it cracked mostly on the thin layers of clay around the base, such as the shoulders or neck. I finished placing the clay. I started creating facial features based on the sketches. Creating an unregular head shape was easier as it was placed on the base and slightly turned to the left side.  As a next step, I smoothed the sculpture and sculpted the eye sockets and added some wrinkles.  As first, while creating this project, I made a base using a bunch of wires and aluminium foil. The used wires were of different thicknesses and lengths. The main element of this construction was a thick wire twisted several times and used as a neck and base by entangling the wire around the wire neck and making the construction more stable. At the end of creating construction, I taped the aluminium foil in case it came off the base. When the base was ready, I could start placing the clay on the base. During this process, the head was too heavy to keep it straight. It fell down, so I have been forced to make a thicker neck and placed more clay on the back of my sculpture as a pillar. When the entire base was covered, I could start including more details in my work, such as chest muscles, collarbones and face. Zdzisław Beksiński was a Polish artist who created dark and surrealistic paintings featuring twisted figures, landscapes, and apocalyptic themes. His style was highly detailed and realistic, focusing on texture and tone, and he often used a limited colour palette. He often used a limited colour palette, mostly browns, greys, and greens. His work was inspired by his own personal struggles with depression and used the arts as a way to explore the darker aspects of the human psychological aspects. Beksiński also experimented with other forms of art, including sculpture and photography. He created a series of sculptures in the 1960s, which were inspired by the human form.
